At Moody's, we unite the brightest minds to turn today’s risks into tomorrow’s opportunities. We do this by striving to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to be who they are -with the freedom to exchange ideas, think innovatively, and listen to each other and customers in meaningful ways.

If you are excited about this opportunity but do not meet every single requirement, please apply! You still may be a great fit for this role or other open roles. We are seeking candidates who model our values: invest in every relationship, lead with curiosity, champion diverse perspectives, turn inputs into actions, and uphold trust through integrity.

Right now, we are looking for a Manager - Sales Operations to join our Latin America regional Operations team in Moody’s Local focusing on Anti-Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Proliferation Financing (AMLCFT) and Know your Customer (KYC) processes.

Moody’s Local is a group of leading providers of domestic credit ratings, with operations in 13 countries.

An Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Operations role focuses on preventing, detecting, and reporting financial crimes and suspicious activities that might suggest money laundering. AMLCFT efforts are crucial for maintaining the integrity of the financial system and for compliance with regulations designed to combat financial crimes.

You will get the chance to:

  • Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD): conduct background checks on customers to assess their risk levels. For higher-risk customers, enhanced due diligence processes are implemented to gather more detailed information.
  • Regulatory Compliance: ensure that the organization complies with all applicable AMLCFT laws, regulations and guidelines. This includes keeping up to date with changes in AMLCFT legislation and implementing necessary adjustments in the organization’s policies and procedures.
  • Monitoring: monitor and analyze situations that might indicate money laundering, terrorist financing or proliferation financing.
  • Reporting: responsibility for filing with the appropriate channels when potential money laundering or terrorist financing is detected, while also prepare and maintain records required by local regulators.
  • Training and Awareness: involve in developing and delivering training programs to educate employees about AMLCFT policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, plus fostering a compliance culture within the organization.
  • Technology and Innovation: Given the evolving nature of financial crimes, the candidate will be required to work with IT and data analytics teams to improve monitoring systems and incorporate new technologies for more effective detection and prevention strategies.

Given the global nature of financial systems and the sophistication of criminal methodologies, AMLCFT operations roles are critical in safeguarding financial institutions from the risks associated with money laundering and related financial crimes.

  • 2+ years’ experience in the financial services industry with a work history of increased scope and responsibility
